Nealy 50,000 homes, businesses without power in Central Virginia

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- Nearly 50,000 homes and businesses are without power throughout Central Virginia Wednesday morning.

As of 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 12, the following localities were experiencing power outages, according to Dominion Energy:

  • Richmond: 5,393 homes and businesses without power
  • Henrico County: 17,390 homes and businesses without power
  • Chesterfield County: 12,522 homes and businesses without power
  • Powhatan County: 4,948 homes and businesses without power
  • Hanover County: 6,838 homes and businesses without power
  • Prince Edward County: 1,964 homes and businesses without power
  • Amelia County: 842 homes and businesses without power
