New Kent County seeks resident input for streetscape improvements

NEW KENT COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- New Kent County is asking its residents to fill out a survey to make their streets more accessible and safe.

The county of New Kent is conducting a study of streetscape improvements for the residents of Eltham and Providence Forge.

Streetscape improvements help streets enhance their visual and functional aspects to make them more attractive, safe and accessible for the community.

Examples of these improvements include pedestrian accommodations, lighting and landscaping.

Eltham residents who want to share their thoughts may attend a public meeting on Wednesday, Dec. 17, from 5:30-7 p.m. at Lucano's Pasta at 18950 Motel Dr.

Providence Forge Residents can attend a public meeting on Thursday, Dec. 18, from 5:30-7 p.m. at the Providence Forge Recreation Center at 9900 Carriage Rd.

Anyone who is not able to attend the public meetings can fill out a survey form here.
