New Kent to celebrate Fire Station 6 with grand opening

NEW KENT COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A new fire station is coming to New Kent County this summer, with a grand opening held on Wednesday.
According to a social post from New Kent Fire-Rescue, the grand opening for Fire Station 6 will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 6, at 1835 Pocahontas Trail in Quinton.

Due to limited parking, attendees will need to park at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. Shuttles will be able to take people to Station 6, per New Kent fire officials.
New Kent is not the only county to celebrate a new fire station. In June, the City of Richmond celebrated the grand opening of a newly renovated, state-of-the-art fire station on W. Cary Street.
