New sculpture unveiled in Ashland honoring retirement of Randolph-Macon College’s president

ASHLAND, Va. (WRIC) -- A few days ago, the Town of Ashland unveiled a new sculpture in honor of the legacy and retirement of Randolph-Macon College's president.

In a Facebook post from the Town of Ashland, it was announced that president Robert Lindgren is retiring from his tenure at Randolph-Macon College, and in addition to that, a new sculpture was revealed to celebrate his retirement and legacy.

The new sculpture is called "Inextricably Linked," which the county said symbolizes the beloved bond between Ashland and Randolph-Macon College.

The "Inextricably Linked" sculpture was created by local artists Matt Lively and Tim Harper.
