New Symphony of Color exhibit coming to Cultural Arts Center at Glen Allen

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- 8News got a visit from a special guest on Tuesday to talk about the new Symphony of Color exhibit coming to The Cultural Arts Center at Glen Allen this week.

8News anchors Autumn Childress and Delaney Hall were joined by Rosa Koons, co-curator and arts education manager at the Center, as she explained what people can expect.

"It's just all about celebrating the different ways that color enriches our lives, much like music, it tells stories, connections -- there's such a variety of works," Koons said.

The exhibit features pieces from artists with the Metropolitan Richmond Artists Association, and will begin with an opening reception from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 13, at the Center.

Koons also spoke about a new curriculum coming to the education side of things, which features several wood carving classes alongside their usual, traditional painting classes.
