No one injured after a fire at convenience store shut down roads in Richmond

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- No one is injured after a fire occurred under a beverage cooler at Lombardy Market in Richmond on Black Friday.

Richmond Fire Crews received a call for the fire at around 6:50 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 28, at Lombardy Market, described as being a "single-story convenience store."

According to Richmond Fire officials, the fire occurred under a beverage cooler that could have "possibly overheated."

Fire officials stated that due to the location of the fire, several streets were blocked off.

The scene was cleared at approximately 7:45 p.m. The fire was contained to the cooler and according to officials, there were "no reported damages were done to the building."
