No one is injured after Chesterfield Fire crews responded to a fire on Chippendale Drive

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Chesterfield Fire and EMS crews responded to a reports of a fire in the 4000 block of Chippendale Drive on Sunday, July 27.

At 3:17 p.m. this afternoon crews responded to a call for a structure fire. According to Chesterfield Fire and EMS, when the first crews arrived on scene, they found smoke coming from an apartment and fire inside of the dryer.

Crews were able to put out the fire and no one was reporter injured.

Chesterfield Fire and EMS shared in a Facebook post that "On days like today, the extreme heat poses an additional challenge for our firefighters."

However, according to the county crews remain hydrated and ready to go before jumping into action.
