One dead, two fighting for their lives after crash in Richmond

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- One person is dead and two people are fighting for their lives after police said a crash occurred in Richmond's Southside Monday evening.

At 4:42 p.m. on Monday, June 2, officers with the Richmond Police Department responded to the intersection of Chippenham Parkway and East Weyburn Road for the report of a crash.

When officers arrived, they found a three-vehicle crash with multiple victims, each of whom was serious injured.

Police said the victims were taken to a local hospital. One victim reportedly died due to their injuries at the hospital, and the other two victims have life-threatening injuries, according to officials.
