One of four men back in custody after escaping immigration facility in Farmville

PRINCE EDWARD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- According to the Prince Edward County Sheriff's Office, one of the four men who escaped a Farmville immigration facility is back in custody.

The sheriff's office told 8News one of the four escapees was captured around 7 a.m. on Monday, March 3 by the Farmville Police Department. The other three are still at large.

According to a Facebook post by the Farmville Police Department, the men escaped the Immigration Centers of America (ICA) facility, located at 508 Waterworks Road in the town of Farmville in Prince Edward County on Sunday, March 2. 

The men were described by officials as being Hispanic, in their early 20s and were wearing bright yellow clothing when they escaped. 

Police said the facility and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) consider the men low-risk and were being detained for non-violent offenses. 

The Farmville Police Department said it is increasing its patrolling on Monday, March 3, and the Prince Edward County Sheriff's Office is assisting.  

Police do not believe there is a public safety threat. 

Anyone who sees someone matching the men's description is asked to call 911.
