One person fighting for life after multi-vehicle crash shut down I-95 North in Chesterfield
UPDATE: All lanes are open and the scene is clear.
CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- One person is fighting for their life after a multi-vehicle crash shut down Interstate 95 North in Chesterfield County on Tuesday.
The crash took place the evening of Tuesday, Nov. 25 along I-95 northbound in the area of Woods Edge Road, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT).
At one point, all northbound lanes were closed. They have since reopened. Drivers were asked to avoid the area as first responders work to clear the scene.
8News reached out to both Virginia State Police and Chesterfield County Fire and EMS for more details on this crash. While state police has not responded as of the time of reporting, Chesterfield Fire confirmed that one person involved in the crash was taken to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries.
