One victim with life-threatening injuries after assault on Thalen Street

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A person is fighting for their life after police said they were assaulted in Henrico County Sunday afternoon.

At 2:35 p.m. on Sunday, April 13, Henrico County Police responded to reports of an assault the on 2900 block of Thalen Street that left one victim with life-threatening injuries.

Police said the assault is in connection with a recent pursuit that occurred after the reported incident. The victim was then later transported to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Detectives are still on the scene investigating, and according to police there is no current threat to the public.
