Over 24K Central Virginia homes and businesses remain without power after severe weather

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- Over 24,000 homes and businesses in Central Virginia remained without power Monday morning following severe weather.

As of 9:25 a.m. on Monday, July 28, the following outages remained in these Central Virginia localities, according to Dominion Energy:

  • Richmond: 3,347 homes and businesses without power
  • Henrico County: 9,385 homes and businesses without power
  • Hanover County: 8,183 homes and businesses without power
  • Petersburg: 1,793 homes and businesses without power
  • Chesterfield County: 768 homes and businesses without power
  • Charles City County: 563 homes and businesses without power
  • New Kent County: 308 homes and businesses without power

In the evening on Sunday, July 27, more than 90,000 customers were without power.
