Over $320K worth of narcotics seized in one week: Virginia State Police
RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- Virginia State Police seized over $320,000 worth of narcotics during its ongoing statewide investigation last week.
The operation, which took place from Wednesday, Jan. 14 to Tuesday, Jan. 20, in partnership with supporting federal and local agencies, led state police to seize 12 firearms and 46.3 pounds of seized narcotics, all valued at $327,263.
The following is a breakdown of recovered narcotics and pills:
- 2.1 pounds of cocaine
- 0.5 ounces of crack cocaine
- 43.2 pounds of marijuana
- 14.6 pounds of fentanyl
- 12 fentanyl pills
Police also said they received 13 new human trafficking tips, bringing the total to 1,474 tips.
Authorities said 213 cases have been investigated or are currently being investigated.
