Patient First sponsoring dog, cat adoptions at Richmond Animal Care and Control this weekend

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- Take home a new furry friend without paying an adoption fee during a special weekend adoption event at Richmond Animal Care and Control (RACC).

From Friday, May 23 until Sunday, May 25, Patient First will be sponsoring adoptions for all of RACC's dogs and cats. This is being done to help make space at the shelter, which is "critically full."

A few of the animals available for adoption are pictured below -- but there are many more. You can browse RACC's current shelter animals online here.

RACC recommends that anyone looking to adopt a dog bring their family members and any current dogs with them to the shelter.
