Pedestrian hit, killed by driver in Henrico

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A pedestrian is dead after they were hit and killed by a driver in Henrico County on Tuesday.

The evening of Tuesday, Dec. 30, officers with the Henrico County Police Division were called to the intersection of Glenside Drive and Inglewood Street for report of a crash involving a pedestrian.

The pedestrian who was hit has died. Police could not provide any more details, with a spokesperson saying that updates would be provided when possible.

Northbound Glenside Drive was shut down between Bethlehem Road and Cloverdale Street for multiple hours during the initial investigation. The area was reopened shortly after 9 p.m., per police.
