Person fighting for their life after shooting in Chesterfield County

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A person has life-threatening injuries after being shot in Chesterfield County Tuesday evening, according to police.

At 8:23 p.m. on Tuesday, April 8, officers with the Chesterfield Police Department responded to the report of a shooting in the 6200 block of Bimini Court.

When officers arrived, police said they found a person with a gunshot wound. Officers provided aid to the victim, who was then taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.
