Person of interest wanted after vandalism, rock thrown at Padel Plant

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- The Richmond Police Department is searching for a person of interest in connection with vandalism at Padel Plant that occurred earlier in July.

According to the Richmond Police Department, officers responded to the 1200 block of Haxall Point at 11:08 a.m. on Tuesday, July 1, for a report of vandalism.

At the time, the person of interest was caught on a nearby store surveillance camera damaging Padel Plant, which caused a portion of Richmond’s Canal Walk to close due to broken glass.

The person of interest, pictured below, was seen in blue jeans, no shirt and black shoes on July 1.

In the video, he was seen picking up a rock or brick and throwing it at a glass panel near the business, according to Drew Wilshire, part-owner of Padel Plant.
