Person shot arrives at hospital in Hopewell, police investigating
HOPEWELL, Va. (WRIC) -- The Hopewell Police Department is investigating after a person arrived at a local hospital with a life-threatening gunshot wound Saturday night.
At 11 p.m. on Saturday, March 8, Hopewell Telecommunications received a report that a male subject had arrived at Tri-Cities Hospital with a life-threatening gunshot wound. Officials said he was later airlifted to Chippenham Hospital for further treatment.
According to police, officers located the crime scene at the intersection of Winston Churchill Drive and East Randolph Road, where multiple "spent cartridge casings" were reportedly found.
