Persons of interest sought after Richmond man found dead in Brunswick County

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- The Brunswick County Sheriff's Office is looking for two people of interest in connection to a Richmond man that was found dead on Friday afternoon. According to the sheriff's office, at 2:36 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 10, they were alerted to a man laying on the ground in the area of Moore Drive off of Boyton Plank Road in Brodnax, Virginia. Deputies responded alongside emergency medical personnel and the man was pronounced dead on scene. The victim, a white man in his 40s that is from the Richmond area, has been identified, but his name will not be released at this time out of respect for his family. After processing the scene and beginning evidence collection, a vehicle that deputies believe is connected to the incident was found abandoned at the end of Tower Road.
