Petersburg launches new Live! Casino recruitment, career center

PETERSBURG, Va. (WRIC) -- Petersburg has announced the opening of their new Live! Casino Recruitment Center followed by a career fair event.

The ribbon cutting ceremony will be held on Thursday, Nov. 6, at 10 a.m. followed by the career fair from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., where job seekers will have the opportunity to to tour the space, meet the hiring team and participate in on-the-spot interviews for a wide range of roles. 

The event is located on 1501 West Washington St., and attendees will have the opportunity to win 1 of 10 $100 gift certificates during the event.

The ceremony will be held on 1501 West Washington St. and feature remarks from Petersburg's City Mayor, Samuel Parham and Live! Casino representatives.

Once opened, the new recruitment center will serve as the main hiring hub for Live! Casino Virginia and is expected to open its "temporary gaming facility" in January of 2026, pending regulatory approval.

The temporary facility is set to create around 500 new permanent jobs, including more than 100 table games dealer positions. Other job openings include roles in facilities, security, surveillance, slot technology, finance, cashiering, food and beverage, guest services and environmental services.

The city added that in order to accommodate more applicants, the center will offer extended hours on Friday, Nov. 7, from 1 to 8 p.m. and Saturday, Nov. 8, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

After Nov. 8, the Live! Casino Virginia Recruitment Center will be open Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and will accept walk-ins for anyone interested in filling out a job application.
