Petersburg Police locate parent of girl found wandering in the street

PETERSBURG, Va. (WRIC) -- The Petersburg Bureau of Police has located the parent of a young girl who was found wandering on a street in the city.
According to a social media post by police, the young girl was found at around 6 a.m. on Thursday, April 3, while wandering in the city's Delectable Heights area.
Police updated the post later in the day, stating that the parent of the girl had been found. Police also said that an investigation into the incident is underway.
