Petersburg postpones Black History Concert due to recent weather events

PETERSBURG, Va. (WRIC) -- Due to recent inclement weather, the city of Petersburg will be postponing its annual Black History Month Concert.

"We are working to find a new date in March to not only continue celebrating Black History but also to recognize Women's [History] Month," the city said in a Facebook post.

The event will remain free to those who attend and will also feature an appearance from Be'la Dona, an all-female band.

"Thank you for your understanding and we can’t wait to see you soon," the city said.
