Petersburg Symphony Orchestra presents spring concert ‘Dynamism’
PETERSBURG, Va. (WRIC) -- The Petersburg Symphony Orchestra will hold their Spring Symphony Concert, "Dynamism," on April 27, celebrating music and renewal.
The free community event will be held at 6 p.m. on Sunday, April 27, at Petersburg High School and be conducted by Dr. Naima Burrs. It will also showcase performances by the orchestra and guest pianist Dr. Miles Masicotte and feature piano Concerto Number Five by Ludwig Von Beethoven.
The orchestra, which features over 50 volunteer and professional musicians, said that the show will feature a Special Mindfulness guest speaker, Kristin Lennox, LCSW, sharing a presentation that examines guided mindfulness practices.
The symphony has been entertaining attendees for more than 40 years, and according to a release, their upcoming concert, "Dynamism," is a "wonderful opportunity for music lovers, families, and first-time attendees to experience a performance that blends tradition with innovation."
