Petersburg to tackle pothole problems during 2-week ‘blitz’
PETERSBURG, Va. (WRIC) -- The City of Petersburg will "begin its war on potholes" starting in mid-March by launching a two-week "pothole blitz." When will you see crews in your neighborhood?
The Petersburg Department of Public Works will carry out this work throughout the city starting on March 17 and ending on April 18.
Officials are asking community members to get involved to make sure that crews are able to fill as many potholes as possible.
If you see a pothole, you're asked to take a photo and note down the street name, as well as any landmarks. Then, you're asked to submit that information to the city by calling 804-733-2415 or clicking the "Report A Concern" button on the city's website.

- Ward 5: March 17 to March 21
- Ward 6: March 24 to March 28
- Ward 4: March 31 to April 4
- Wards 7 and 2: April 7 to April 11
- Wards 1 and 3: April 14 to April 18
"Our goal is to dedicate the necessary time and resources to ensure the safety of our streets," city officials said.
