Petersburg woman sentenced to 5 years after trafficking meth at 7-Eleven

PETERSBURG, Va. (WRIC) -- A Petersburg woman was sentenced to five years in prison on Monday after she tried to sell methamphetamine at a Richmond 7-Eleven.

On Monday, May 19, 29-year-old Miranda Lynn Hubert was sentenced to five years in prison for possession with the intent to distribute methamphetamine, according to the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ).

From June 28, 2024 to July 2, 2024, Hubert distributed over 140 grams of meth, per court documents.

On July 2, 2024, Hubert went to a Richmond 7-Eleven to sell meth. Law enforcement took Hubert, who had several outstanding warrants at the time, into custody there.

About 84 grams of meth, a handgun and a digital scale were found in her car, according to court documents.

Hubert has several previous convictions, including possession of a controlled substance, possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance, larceny, entering a house to commit larceny, assault and battery and probation violation, the DOJ said.
