Petersburg’s Live! Casino names VSU Foundation as first nonprofit partner

PETERSBURG, Va. (WRIC) — Live! Casino Virginia in Petersburg has named the Virginia State University (VSU) Foundation as the first beneficiary of its program supporting local organizations.

The "Live! Change Maker" program seeks to support local nonprofits through patron donations. According to a release, all proceeds from the program's first quarter will go toward benefitting the VSU Foundation.

VSU Foundation works to advance educational opportunities and institutional excellence at the university. Per the release, the foundation generates support that strengthens its academic programs and expands access for students.

“This partnership reflects a shared commitment to education, opportunity, and community impact,” said Robert L. Turner, Jr., executive director of the VSU Foundation, in the release. “Support from initiatives like Live! Change Maker directly contributes to student success and helps advance the University’s mission.”

The donation period will run through March 31.
