PHOTOS: Car puts hole into wall of Chesterfield business

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A person was taken to the hospital after a car put a large hole into a Chesterfield County business.

Just after 11 a.m. on Friday, April 4, crews with Chesterfield County Fire and EMS were called to a business in the 13100 block of Route 1 for report of a car hitting a building.

When they arrived, they found that the crash had caused "significant damage" to the business, leaving a large hole in one wall.

According to fire officials, specialized teams were called in to ensure the building would remain stable until repairs can be made.

A person was taken to the hospital with minor injuries as a result of this incident -- though fire officials did not specify how they were injured, including whether or not they were in the car at the time of the crash.
