CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- The first new high school in Chesterfield County in more than 20 years is making headway.

The groundbreaking for the new high school was held at 8 a.m. on Wednesday, June 18, at 17500 Duval Road in Moseley, and marks the 12th high school within Chesterfield County Public Schools.

School leaders previously decided on the location for the new high school in October 2023, located on county-owned land on Duval Road about 1,600 feet west of the intersection of Duval Road and Otterdale Road.
