PHOTOS: Firefighters battle flames that sparked in Chesterfield home’s dryer
CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Firefighters battled a fire that sparked in a Chesterfield County home's dryer late Tuesday night.
At about 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 16, firefighters with Chesterfield County Fire and EMS were called to a townhouse in the 4000 block of Squire Hill Court for report of a fire.
When they arrived, crews saw smoke coming from one of the home's windows. Once inside, they found a fire in a dryer.

The fire was put out within 30 minutes and was contained to the dryer.
