HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Colorful designs, logos and a sign that says "opening soon" can be seen marking the first-ever LEGO store coming to Henrico County.

The LEGO store is located inside the mall at the Short Pump Town Center in Henrico County.

Details on when the location will open have not been announced. However, words outside the store say "opening soon," and a sign reads "we are hiring" with a QR code that links to LEGO's careers page on its website.

Another QR code posted outside the store links LEGO lovers who may be passing by the area to LEGO's website, allowing them to shop for LEGO bricks and toys online.

The store in Henrico comes after LEGO Group announced that it plans to begin full production at a manufacturing site in Chesterfield County in 2027, which construction began on in 2023 and is expected to occupy 13 buildings in a 1.7 million-square-foot facility located in Meadowville Technology Park.

In May of this year, Gov. Glenn Youngkin announced that LEGO Group will invest more than $350 million in a new warehouse and distribution center that will come to Prince George County.
