PHOTOS: Sunken boat in James River, Prince George Fire & EMS responds
PRINCE GEORGE COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- On Monday evening, Prince George County Fire and EMS responded to a sunken boat in the James River. Right before 3 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 27, Prince George County Fire and EMS crews were notified about a sunken boat in the James River close to Jordan Point Marina. According to the fire department, when emergency crews arrived, along with members from the Department of Emergency Management and analyzed the scene, they found a boat that was partially submerged with an active fuel leak. Hopewell Fire and EMS stepped in to assist by providing the equipment to surround the boat and keep the fuel in the immediate area.
