PHOTOS: Winter storm sweeps through Central Virginia

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — The winter storm has begun sweeping through Central Virginia.

In the evening of Saturday, Jan. 24, snow began to fall across the commonwealth. Our StormTracker8 team forecasted that during the overnight into the morning hours on Sunday, Jan. 25, snow will transition to sleet.

Sleet is expected to transition into freezing rain late Sunday morning and will continue throughout the day. The freezing rain is expected to end on Monday.
