Police investigate pedestrian who was fatally struck by vehicle in Richmond

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- A pedestrian was killed at an intersection by a vehicle in Richmond on Saturday night.
On Saturday, Jan. 10, at around 7:40 p.m., the Richmond Police Department Crash Team responded to the intersection of Maury Street and 19th Street for a pedestrian who had been struck by a vehicle.
When officers arrived on the scene, they found an adult woman in the road and unresponsive. She was taken to a nearby medical treatment facility but was later pronounced dead.
The driver of the vehicle remained on scene, and no charges have been filed.
