Police search for suspect in armed robbery of Chesterfield bank

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Police are searching for a suspect who allegedly robbed a Truist Bank in Chesterfield County Friday morning.

At 9:14 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 12, officers with the Chesterfield County Police Department responded to the Truist Bank located at 1500 Kroger Center Boulevard in Chesterfield County for a reported robbery.

Police said a male suspect went into the bank with the strings on the hood of his hoodie pulled tight, covering his face.

He reportedly passed a note to the bank teller, demanded money and fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash. Officials said no injuries were reported.

The suspect is described as being a Black man who stands at about 5 feet and 10 inches tall, who may be between 30 and 40 years of age. He was wearing red and tan shoes, green sweatpants, a tan hoodie covered by a brown coat, a purple nose ring and a purple hat, according to police.

Police provided the following images captured on surveillance cameras in an attempt to assist the public in identifying the suspect.
