Police search for suspects after man injured in Super 8 motel shooting in Chesterfield

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- The Chesterfield County Police Department is searching for suspects after a man was injured in a shooting at the Super 8 motel in Chesterfield County on Saturday.

At around 5:35 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 20, officers with the Chesterfield County Police Department were called to the Super 8 motel, located in the 8200 block of Midlothian Turnpike, for a reported shooting.

When officers arrived, they found evidence that a shooting had taken place. A man was located at a nearby hospital with injuries considered non-life-threatening.

Officers are still searching for the suspects. Police said the suspect and victim are known to each other, and there is no ongoing threat to the public.
