Rabies clinic open to pets from all counties to be held in King William County
KING WILLIAM COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Does your pet need a rabies vaccination? King William Animal Control will host a rabies clinic in November that is open to pets from all counties.
The rabies clinic will take place at the King William County Courthouse from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 8, where pets from all counties are welcome to be vaccinated at the event, according to the King William County Sheriff's Office.
No appointment is necessary to attend the event. The rabies vaccine will cost $10 per vaccine, and the clinic is a cash-only event.
For the safety of the pets, dogs must be on a leash and cats must be in carriers for the clinic. Attendees are advised to remain in their vehicles until they are assisted. Officials said the event will be carried out on a first-come, first-served basis.
According to the sheriff's office, those who would like their pet to receive a three-year rabies vaccine must bring a rabies certificate that shows their pet has been vaccinated before -- even if it is expired.
