RACC encourages donations to Harvest RVA Community Thanksgiving Distribution

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- Richmond Animal Care and Control (RACC) has announced it is supporting the Harvest RVA Community Thanksgiving in meeting its funding goal.

In the morning on Monday, Nov. 3, RACC announced on social media that it was joining with the City of Richmond's Office of Community Wealth Building and St. Paul's Baptist Church to support the Harvest RVA Community Thanksgiving Distribution.

The Thanksgiving distribution provides dinner supplies to thousands of Richmond families in need each year.

RACC said that this year, funding cuts and increased need in the community have caused a gap in revenue, with each meal being short $13, as of reporting.

"We want to be able to fulfill that support for 2,000 families," RACC said in the post.

Anyone who would like to donate can do so on the fundraiser's Facebook page.
