Richmond Animal Care and Control shares design plans for new pet adoption center

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- Richmond Animal Care and Control (RACC) has shared initial design plans for its new pet adoption center coming to Cary Street.

In the morning on Monday, Aug. 25, RACC shared initial design plans on social media for its new pet adoption center coming to 2310 W. Cary Street.

The shelter said public tour opportunities were coming shortly.

Initial designs show plans for cat condos, a space for small animals, a cat lounge area, kennels, amenities and more.

This comes after the Richmond City Council voted 7-2 to approve the $2 million adoption center.

Its current shelter is located at 1600 Chamberlayne Ave.
