Richmond Black Restaurant Experience hosts Mobile Soul Sunday event at Monroe Park
RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- The Richmond Black Restaurant Experience hosted its Mobile Soul Sunday today at Monroe Park -- which is in the heart of Virginia Commonwealth University's (VCU) campus.
The event was held from noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday, March. 9 and featured food trucks, games, art and several other vendors.
Natalie Accilien, owner of J'adore Jolie Boutique, shared with 8News what she loves most about the event.
"Well, I love [it] because it's so diverse although its a Black event, but you see several women owned businesses that [have] been in Richmond that other people might not be aware of," Accilien said.
Food was not the only thing being served the event -- it also featured activities like double-dutch, hula hooping and an MC area where attendees could dance.

"So this is a great event because for most customers that don't get the chance to interact with [businesses will] be able to see us and see what we have to offer Richmond," Accilien shared.
