Richmond celebrates 41st annual Craftsmen’s Spring Classic Art & Craft Festival
RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- Richmond celebrated its 41st annual Craftsmen Spring Classic Art and Craft Festival this weekend at the Raceway Complex.
The festival, which was voted among the “100 Best” nationwide in Sunshine Artist Magazine, ran from March 14 to March 16. It featured hundreds of artists and craftsmen from over 15 states, juried and selected based on originality and creative excellence.
"It's important to come out and support small businesses -- that's the backbone of America," said director Tami Gilmore. "You'll find things different here. They'll make it to your taste -- they can make it a different color, make it a different size, put your initials on it. It's also supporting great people, making small businesses work."
Vendor items included a variety of pottery, fine art, glass, jewelry, baskets, weaving, clothing, furniture, sculptures, photography, wood and specialty foods.
