Richmond Falcon Cam welcomes first egg of 2026 season
RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- How egg-citing! The first egg of the Richmond Falcon Cam's 2026 season has been laid -- and more are likely on the way.
The Richmond Falcon Cam allows wildlife lovers an up-close and personal look at the peregrine falcons nesting in the city's downtown. The Falcon Cam has become an annual River City tradition, having just returned for its 2026 season in early March.
On Friday, March 20, the Virginia Department of Wildlife Resources (DWR) took to Facebook to make an exciting announcement about these beloved birds.
The first falcon egg of the season was laid between 6 and 7 a.m. on Thursday, March 19. You can see it in the picture below.
