Richmond Flying Squirrels’ hosting 40th Anniversary miniature stadium giveaway

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- A Diamond giveaway? Yes, you heard that correctly! To celebrate the 40th anniversary of The Diamond in Richmond, the first 2,000 fans at the Richmond Flying Squirrels' game on Thursday will receive a miniature model of the stadium.

On Thursday, April 17, the Richmond Flying Squirrels will be giving away miniature replica stadiums as a gift to the first 2,000 fans at the game, courtesy of Dominion Energy.

This gift is to celebrate 40 years of The Diamond stadium in Richmond.

The Richmond Flying Squirrels will play the Chesapeake Baysox on Thursday for a "Diamonds Through the Decades 2010s Night" game.
