Richmond gas prices rise 20 cents in last week, still lower overall than last year
RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- Average gasoline prices in Richmond have risen by more than 20 cents in the last week. However, prices are still lower than they were at the same time last year, according to data from GasBuddy.
A release from GasBuddy indicates the average gasoline price in Richmond is currently $3.08 per gallon. While it is an increase of 20.3 cents from last week, it remains a decrease from the cost of $3.40 per gallon on June 16, 2022.
Gas prices for June 16 are the lowest they have been since 2021 -- when the price was $2.94 per gallon in Richmond.
The national average for gas prices currently matches Richmond at $3.08 per gallon -- with an increase of 1.1 cents in the last week.
