Richmond Greek Festival returns for its 47th year

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- The Richmond Greek Festival is returning to Saints Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Cathedral on Malvern Avenue this Thursday.

The free family-friendly festival, which runs from Thursday, May 29 through Sunday, June 1, will be open from:

  • 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday, May 29
  • 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday, May 30
  • 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday, May 31
  • 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday, June 1

Festivalgoers can expect their favorite handmade Greek dishes including pork and chicken souvlaki, moussaka, tiropita, baklava and more.

Food at the drive-thru is available until supplies last. A look at the extensive menu and food prices can be found on the Greek Festival website.

Authentic music, dancing and an "agora" marketplace with local vendors will also be available to enjoy.

The festival does not have designated parking areas. Visitors can use street parking around the festival area.

A portion of the festival proceeds will benefit several charities including Elijah House Academy, Richmond Habitat for Humanity, Little Hands Virginia, Crossover Healthcare Ministry and Goochland Cares.

Saints Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Cathedral is located at 30 Malvern Avenue in Richmond.
