Richmond police investigate southside shooting that left one man dead

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- Police are conducting a death investigation after a deadly shooting on Richmond's southside, Friday, Sept. 19.

At 11:54 p.m. officers responded to a reported shooting in the 1600 block of Lone Street. According to police, when officers arrived they found two victims at the scene.

Officers say a 16-year-old juvenile "was found suffering from a gunshot wound" and was taken to a local hospital for treatment with non-life threatening injuries.

One man was also found suffering from gunshot wounds and died at the scene, according to officials.

The Medical Examiners office will determine the cause and manner of death. The victims identity has not been released at this time.
