Richmond Police officer with minor injury after crash on Midlothian Turnpike

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A Richmond Police officer has a minor injury after officials said they were involved in a crash in Chesterfield County Monday night.

At 7:26 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 10, police said an officer with the Richmond Police Department was involved in a crash along the 7300 block of Midlothian Turnpike in Chesterfield County.

The officer had a minor injury and was treated and then released from a local hospital, according to officials.

Police said the driver of the striking vehicle was injured and was issued a summons for disregarding a traffic signal. The driver was then released.
