Richmond Police seek person of interest in fatal pedestrian collision
RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- The Richmond Police Department (RPD) is asking for your help in identifying a person of interest involved in a reported fatal collision with a pedestrian last month on west Main Street.
8News previously covered this incident that occurred on Wednesday, Feb 5. Officers received a call for a reported collision at approximately 10:50 p.m. on the 2600 block of West Main Street.

When officer arrived on the scene 52-year-old Ruthanne Berry, of Richmond was down and unresponsive. Berry was taken to the hospital for life-threatening injuries, but died to her injuries the next day.
According to the RPD crash team, they say the scene and investigation determined Berry was walking southbound on North Robinson Street and attempted to cross West Main Street in the crosswalk, when she was struck by a dark-colored sedan.
The driver of that vehicle did not stop and continued to drive westbound on West Main Street.
Investigators have determined, the driver left a parking lot at 1911 West Main St. at approximately 10:46p.m., which was four minutes before the driver operating the vehicle struck Berry.
