Richmond Raceway to host Track Laps for Charity, help local nonprofit

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Richmond Raceway will host a Track Laps for Charity event next week to raise funds for two local nonprofits. Track Laps for Charity will take place on Wednesday, Oct. 16 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Richmond Raceway to raise money for Richmond Raceway Cares and the Autism Society of Central Virginia (ASCV). With a donation of $20, racing fans will have the opportunity to drive for five laps on Richmond Raceway -- which is also accepting donations of bottled water and diapers (child and adult) to aid in hurricane relief efforts. Those that want to participate in the event to race or donate can enter the property at the main gate at 600 E. Laburnum Avenue.
