Richmond sees multiple shootings on Valentine’s Day that leave 3 injured

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Three people were injured on Saturday after Richmond saw multiple shootings on Valentine's Day.

The Richmond Police Department on Sunday, Feb. 15, said police responded to three separate shootings in different parts of the city on Saturday, Feb. 14.

One of such incidents occurred in Richmond's Southside in the evening. At around 7:55 p.m., officers with the Richmond Police Department responded to the 1500 block of Treehaven Drive for a report of a person shot.

Upon arrival, police found a man with a gunshot wound to his left leg. He was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Two shootings also took place in Richmond early Saturday morning.

At around 2:10 a.m., police responded to the 100 block of Greshamwood Place for a report of a person shot.

Upon arrival, officers found a man with multiple gunshot wounds to his arm, hand and wrist. He was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The other early morning shooting in the city happened near Godfrey's.

At around 1:33 a.m., police responded to the 200 block of East Grace Street and found a man with life-threatening injuries. He was transported to a local hospital shortly after.
