Richmond SPCA to host Dog Speed Dating event

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- The Richmond SPCA will host a Dog Speed Dating event on Thursday, offering people the chance to mingle with several dogs in their care to help them find their perfect match.

Would-be dog owners will have the opportunity to meet a range of dogs at the Richmond SPCA, located at 2519 Hermitage Rd., from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 12. The rescue organization described it as their version of "The Bachelor" aimed at helping people find the right pet for them.

Additionally, those who find a dog they would like to take home can complete the adoption process that same day, and the fees have been knocked down to $14 for the event.
